All precious things, discover’d late,
To those that seek them issue forth;
For love in sequel works with fate,
And draws the veil from hidden worth.

Monsoon

Megha malhaar transformed the air and its very personality…the sky morphed itself into an elusive maiden. As the chill breeze blew, the low rumble of thunder from the west signaled the start of monsoon. Monsoon creates an emotion which is born when joy embraces dolour…an emotion which is nameless…yet experienced by all of us when in a pensive mood.

Monsoon… the very word evoked countless exquisite thoughts in me. They were all disjoint from one another, yet united by an invisible thread of all that is spiritual and fresh and otherworldly. The dainty droplets of rain strumming the strings of a silver harp creating divine music…the ethereal fragrance of rain-drenched roses filling the mystic atmosphere…the visitations by the ghosts of bygone days… the sweet call of the cuckoo from the deep woods…the tinkle of anklets playing along with the rhythm of rain dancing a dance of eternity…the beautiful innumerable dents created by the raindrops on a dazzling turquoise pond…the tiny paper boats sailing on the roadside puddles of rainwater sailing to a child’s dreamland…the distant hills kissing the sobbing grey sky… the forgotten sun…ocean's murmur...the solitude…the deep encounter with each and every note of music…these enchanting thoughts surpass the barriers created by time, language and humanity…they reign supreme when the fine drizzle sets the world abloom with numerous possibilities of life and living…

The continuation dots facilitate good flow. Makes very good reading.
Full of contrasts, that second paragraph. Wonder why monsoon evoked dolour in you...
